The California Medical Association (CMA) will host its 45th annual Legislative Advocacy Day on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 (8AM - 3:00PM),in Sacramento. Attendees will have the opportunity to go to the Capitol throughout the day to meet with legislators on health care issues.
Dr. Randy Holmes, Chair of CSAM’s Committee on Public Policy, is hosting a CSAM member table and he invites CSAM members who are interested in attending to join him at this event and to make legislative visits with him.
Governor Gavin Newsom and Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis are invited speakers. This is a unique event for California physicians and is free of charge. Plan to join more than 400 physicians, resident and medical student members who will be coming to Sacramento to lobby their legislative leaders as champions for medicine and their patients. Wearing a white lab coat has been the tradition, but is not required. Registration is Free.
CMA Legislative Advocacy Day takes place at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J. Street, 3rd Floor Ballroom, Rooms 308-313. The tentative schedule is as follows:
