About CSAM Membership

Membership in CSAM is coupled with membership in ASAM. Physicians join the state chapter and the national organization simultaneously and receive the benefits of both concurrently. Membership in ASAM/CSAM is open to physicians and medical students.

Medical Students and Residents:

ASAM offers a special, discounted national membership for medical students and residents. National Membership is FREE for medical students and $35 for residents. Membership is valid from the day you join until the end of the year. In addition to many of the benefits described above, students and residents can take advantage of the following additional benefits:

  • Residents may apply for the Ruth Fox Scholarship, which pays for travel and registration costs for the Annual Medical-Scientific-Conference, including the Ruth Fox Course for Physicians. Scholarship recipients will also get to meet with ASAM Board Members and other leaders at the annual convention.
